JASSA Organics Ltd was set up in 2023 by a female entrepreneur who is passionate about medicinal and aromatic plants and the numerous applications across the food and beverage, skincare and wellness sectors. The company sources citrus from selected smallholder farmers in communities that surround its purpose – built processing facility in the central region of Ghana.

‘Partnership’ is the word that best characterises our relationship with the farmers we source from. We provide on-going technical support and training in organic farm practices needed for our farming partners to achieve organic certification. As a responsible business, JASSA Organics is committed to putting back more than it takes out socially, as well as environmentally. What does this look like in practice? It means ensuring farmers and workers receive on a timely basis, a fair price for their inputs and their services. With a large proportion of our facility workers being women and young men; addressing inequalities like financial and adult literacy are important priorities going forward.
